The Field Day planning and organizing is progressing quite well. RCARA Field Days will take place at the Martha McLean-Anza Narrows Park, Pavilion #2 located at 5759 Jurupa Avenue in Riverside.
Dates for the 2018 Field Days:
Set-up on Friday, June 22 beginning at 11:00 a.m. Operations begin on Saturday, June 23 and continue for 24 hours ending at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 24. The event is FREE and open to the public. Everyone is welcome to visit and learn about ham radio.
On Sunday we will be raffling a Yaesu FT60 hand held ham radio and a Baofeng mobile radio unit. Tickets donations are $2 each, 3 for $5.00 or 12 tickets for $20 and can be purchased from any RCARA club member or at the Field Day site.
The club will have a potluck dinner at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday Night at the park. If you would like to participate by bringing a dish to share or making a $5.00 donation, contact Nina at ninaacosta72@yahoo.com

Rick NI6AU’s 60’ portable antenna will be on display and help to enhance and facilitate our radio range for making contacts across the U.S. and Canada.
Please join us at our June 14th meeting as we will be finalizing plans and taking care of last minute details. Your thoughts and ideas are most welcome.
Volunteers are still being sought for radio operators, organizers, set up and tear down and general assistance as needed at all skill levels.
